English Department

Just like in the past academic years, this department still plays an integral role in curriculum development . We as English department members have always made sure that the basic skills thus Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing are all attained by our learners through their various stages of learning by encouraging them to expansively do research and access information through various learning resources and materials.

This consequently has been reflected by attaining good results in the past years in KCPE i.e 2015 and 2016. We look forward for better and even greater results in the future for a good reputation is better than money.

counseling Department

This department has been in the school for a long time. It is conducted by 4 teachers. It involves guiding, shaping and knowing more about students that we have in school. Different teachers have been assigned classes to facilitate from class 1-8. Once in a while we separate boys and girls. Sometimes together as a class. This has encouraged alot of openness among pupils and teachers. We also do individual counseling when need arises. Here teachers get to learn the students’ needs and weaknesses.

All students need direction in life and this is the best department to provide such skills as they grow from childhood to adolescence stage. Alot of skills and knowledge are put to practice. We also get facilitators from outside to give talks to our children. This department deals with not only their mental state but also emotional, spiritual and changes in their life journey. We thank God for the grace and wisdom to lead these young ones.

science Department

Science, according to the dictionary, is the study about the physical world and natural laws. Its undeniable that science has played a major role in shaping the course of modern world. It will therefore be inconceivable and incomprehensible for Immaculate to stagger in achieving this noble course. Following this massive importance of science, Immaculate school has set up a very active panel that deals with matters science. The panel comprises of well trained staff whose science experience is undeniably longed for by many.

In order to broaden learners’ horizons, the school set up a science laboratory. The lab has specimen for both organic and inorganic objects. The lab too, has science apparatus for experiments and demonstrations. Since visualization is vital in conveying factual information, the department has embraced real learning where the learner, learns by interacting with the natural world. This has made our learners both current and alumni, become stimulators of themselves. It is therefore important for all and sundry to realize that Immaculate School has the full capacity to nurture pupils and enable them fit in this rapidly evolving world.

The so called “complex problems” have been simplified to the learner’s level.

The department has experienced and dedicated teachers to both the lower and upper primary sections. This has made our students to perform well in both clusters and KCPE Examinations.
